Role Models 9/10

Role Models

A clever comedy, not seen too often in today’s society, Role Model’s easily falls toward the top of my list.  With lessons about life, love, and heavy metal this movie will keep you laughing. I find the story to be excellent and to a degree inspiring.  The story teaches life lessons that in many comedies are unheard of.  Being yourself and expressing your emotions is a theme that keeps the story interesting. The story is about two middle aged slackers, Danny(Paul Rudd) and Wheeler (Seann William Scott),  and there forced volunteering at a big brother organization (Sturdy Wings) due to trouble with the law. Danny and Wheeler must watch two kids, a bad mouthed rascal and a larping freak, in order to avoid jail. Along the way they learn the valuable lessons mentioned above. Just because this movie teaches valuable lessons doesn't make it a must see for children. Due to foul language, suggestive themes, and inappropriate humor I don’t recommend those under 17 to watch it, neither does the Film Association due to the R rating. I give this movie a 9/10.
